According to the Obama-mania press, Obama is surrounding himself with a bi-partisan cabinet full of intellectual giants with a hundred years in collective expertise unlike any other in human history. What cabinet selections are they looking at?

“The facade has finally dropped off. This is the real face of the Homosexual movement. Something new and very ugly has entered American politics”.  - This week the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) launched a new website: BusttheBlacklist-dot-com(1) along with an accompanying radio ad campaign. If you read my last piece on the automakers’ bailout, two things should have been made quite clear. First, I really like Cherry Coke Zero. And second, I am 100% against any kind of bailout for the Big 3 automakers because there are alternatives that deserve consideration before putting taxpayers on the hook for worse financial decisions than letting Kellie Pickler do your taxes.

CHURCHVILLE, VA - Now we’re going to give Ford, GM and Chrysler billions of dollars so the Feds can order them to build more “green” cars - with gas now costing $1.49 per gallon. How many Americans will pay $30,000 for one of these new high-mileage lightweights instead of getting a family-protective SUV for the same bucks? Or a pickup to pull the boat? At $1.49 per gallon, not many. So Detroit will go broke again, unless the Feds slap on another $3 per gallon in gas tax.

We are not “addicted” to oil because it is essential to modern civilization everywhere.

“Hypocrisy is the essence of snobbery, but all snobbery is about the problem of belonging.“ - Alexander Theroux - Smart people continue to do stupid stuff. . . personifying the Metcalf bromide about “some people don’t want to be confused with facts that contradict their preconceived opinions or prejudices.“
