German Government Moves Briskly To The Right
Today’s election was a victory for the centre-right in Germany.(1)
Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservatives have a much stronger handle on the government than during the previous 4 years.
It’s reassuring that the conservatives actually improved their position while being in power during turbulent economics times.
Much of the EU has been drifting toward the right away from the Socialist machine for about 4 years, this event further enforces that trend.
The USA often tends to 5 or 6 years behind sensible moves by Europeans, so perhaps we will get back in the right track in the near future?
