• Posted in ObamaNation by Guest: Carey RobertsIt’s no secret that President Barack Obama has set out to transform American society into a socialist nirvana – just witness how the automobile, banking, and healthcare industries are now, or soon will be, under federal control.
Is it me or does anyone else find it odd that a president who wishes to give terrorists a trial in New York suddenly targets an American citizen, the radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki for death without a trial? According to the NYT it is extremely rare, if not unprecedented, for an American to be approved for targeted killing, officials said. A former senior legal official in the administration of George W. Bush said he did not know of any American who was approved for targeted killing under the former president. Correct me if I am wrong here but I do believe In a section of the order labeled “Restrictions on Intelligence Activities,“ Ford outlawed political assassination: Section 5(g), entitled “Prohibition on Assassination,“ states: “No employee of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, political assassination.“ Since 1976, every U.S. president has upheld Ford’s prohibition on assassinations. In 1978 President Carter issued an executive order with the chief purpose of reshaping the intelligence structure. In Section 2-305 of that order, Carter reaffirmed the U.S. prohibition on assassination. In 1981, President Reagan, through Executive Order 12333, reiterated the assassination prohibition. Reagan was the last president to address the topic of political assassination. Because no subsequent executive order or piece of legislation has repealed the prohibition, it remains in effect.
Once upon a time in Hollywood, a significant scandal would sink an actor’s movie career. And a homosexual actor didn’t even think about coming out of the closet. However, because being a successful actor could be very lucrative, and because Hollywood for many years has been home to a lot of sleazy actors (e.g., cheating spouses, drug addicts, people who literally prostituted themselves to get parts in movies and TV shows, etc.), Hollywood has always had a huge financial incentive to corrupt our country’s morals. Once our morals had been corrupted, an actor involved in a significant scandal would most likely not lose his lucrative job, would not have his career ruined. Add into the mix all the sleazy Hollywood agents and executives who would like to bed as many beautiful women as possible, and the incentive for Hollywood to corrupt our country’s morals becomes even bigger.
The passage of the health-care bill has consistently been described in terms of history by those on the left. President Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Harry Reid and scores of Democratic politicians have called it “historic.“ Likewise, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and every other liberal media outlet have used exactly the same word when reporting on the bill.

• Posted in Big Brother by OffsiteStudents who accept federal financial aid for college are eating meat offered to idols. If their spiritual house is in order, they’re not engaged in idolatry themselves, and their consciences are clear, then God bless them. It’s lawful and not a sin to take the money and run to class.
Is the White House press corps teetering (possibly tweeting) on the brink of obsolescence?
The degree to which President Obama is being misinformed or just uninformed is staggering! But misinforming the uninformed appears to be the Democrats’ strategy to defend their health-care deform legislation.
