• Posted in Socialism by Guest: Ben CerrutiIn order for socialism to function in a society its tenets require the forcible redistribution of income and wealth. In practice this has never been able to be accomplished since much of wealth is the accumulation of income over time. Once established its owners have always found ways to retain that wealth by way of the power it wields. However, since income is derived in a current time frame, governments have been able to succeed in taxing higher income owners more than those earning lower incomes. This is not the same as the taxing of wealth.

It was one of the items in his new $50 billion spending proposal, as reported Sept. 7 by The Reason Foundation and others. Obama pulled from his political hat, at a Labor Day rally in Milwaukee, a desperate initiative to fix 150,000 miles of roads, lay or rebuild 4,000 miles of railroad tracks and redo 150 miles of airport runways.

Like The Daily Worker, People’s World states that they, “are unashamebly Communist.“ They acknowledge their affiliation with the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and the Young Communist League. When Obamacare was rammed through, the People’s World proclaimed, “We did it! Yesterday’s historic vote on health reform sets the stage for future victories.“ Catch that? WE (The Communist Party) did it!...and sets the stage for future victories, which means of course, Marxism for America.(1)

As a political influence, organized religion is treated as if it is irrelevant. By contrast, the historic influence of religion in the settling of the New World is undeniable. European mercantile motivations to explore, claim and develop the natural wealth of a rich continent, required more than daring adventurers. The repression in the mother counties played a pivotal part for the down trodden and oppressed to flee from the chains of persecution. Religious freedom was as important, if not paramount, for many of the brave souls seeking a new life.

• Posted in Socialism by Guest: Leon A. WeinsteinIt is my personal opinion that President Obama and his inner circle hate America. I am not talking about landscapes and folk songs. Those they might love. But they dislike what America represents and has been for the last two centuries. I love in America exactly what Obama hates. In other words Obama hates MY America. I also do not like some things here, but I would emigrate here even if the weather everywhere in this country was like in Chicago. I emigrated to and loved this country because this country cherishes each individual more than it cherishes the state. It is quite difficult to understand for Europeans, Asians or Africans who grew to believe that a beehive is more important than a single bee. In America the bee is more important. I love this country because it didn’t demand anything from me. Because I didn’t have to sing hymns to any leader or movement or fate. Because words “do not ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” were wonderful colorful and inspiring… words. I have heard same words from the Soviet Leaders and every socialist organizer that ever was.
